SELF PORTRAIT SERIES: OTR ll COUNTDOWN
Beyoncé and Jay-Z came to Vancouver for their second to last stop on the OTR II tour. In due fashion, I created a 5 part self portrait series to countdown the days until they preformed.
I decided to use Beyoncé's September issue in Vouge as inspiration for my countdown. Her words resonated with me, especially when she said
“I’m not alive unless I’m creating something. I’m not happy if I’m not creating, if I’m not dreaming, if I’m not creating a dream and making it into something real”
I made this series not only as an ode to Beyoncé but as a way for me to keep dreaming and a way to continue to create. I made all the outfits and headpieces, and my amazing family helped bring it all together.
